The debates are back! On Tuesday night, 10 Democratic presidential candidates took the stage in Detroit, Michigan, to debate, gesticulate, and attempt to squeeze their lengthy answers into very limited time frames. The candidates on stage (who included Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, John Delaney, John Hickenlooper, Tim Ryan, Steve Bullock, Marianne Williamson, Amy Klobuchar, Beto O’Rourke, and Pete Buttigieg) discussed Medicare for All, student debt, the climate crisis, reparations, gun violence, and immigration as CNN’s Dana Bash, Don Lemon, and Jake Tapper moderated.
The debate was long, sure, but also included some truly great moments that Twitter made sure to capitalize on. Below, a look at some of the funniest tweets that came from Tuesday night’s debate, including a very specific change to Delaney’s Wikipedia page.
If you want even more, don’t worry. This will all repeat on Wednesday night as another 10 Democratic presidential candidates debate each other for hours on end. (FYI those candidates will be Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, Kirsten Gillibrand, Tulsi Gabbard, Michael Bennet, Bill de Blasio, Jay Inslee, Cory Booker, Andrew Yang, and Julián Castro.) CNN will begin Wednesday night’s debate at 8 P.M., and you can find out everything you need to know about the details of the debate and how to watch it here.
