Chris Brown made it obnoxiously known that he is still very into Rihanna—his ex who he assaulted in 2009—by commenting on two of her Savage x Fenty Instagrams this weekend. Brown just posted the flushed emoji three times on two separate ‘grams of her wearing holiday-themed lingerie.

Rihanna did not respond to him, but hundreds of her fans attacked him in the comments of her Instagram, generally asking him to stay away from her.
Rihanna, on the other hand, posted an Instagram Story with a Bible verse and affirmation emphasizing “you do not have to go backwards” and that you do not have to “passively” yield to the enemy whatever that temptation may be. Maybe it’s a subtle message to Chris Brown, more likely it was just shared on a whim, around the same time Brown commented on her photos.
RiRi has since shifted her Instagram to politics, sharing a tweet about the Trump administration allowing the U.S. Border Control to spray tear gas into Mexico and harm asylum seekers before they even cross the border. “Terrorism,” she captioned it, joining many appalled by the move and publicly expressing it.
