Update, 4:56 p.m.: People is reporting that Lovato is currently “okay and stable,” per a source, following her hospitalization.
Original, 4:30 p.m.: Demi Lovato has been hospitalized this afternoon for what appears to be a possible heroin overdose, law enforcement officials have told TMZ and Us Weekly. (Though sources close to Lovato have said it wasn’t heroin.)

Lovato’s current condition is not yet known. The singer has been vocal about her struggles with drug abuse. Lovato was sober for six years before recently breaking her sobriety, which she revealed publicly in her song “Sober”.
In her documentary released last fall, Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated, Lovato talked about her past drug addiction and what led her to check into rehab for the first time in 2010. “I just came to a breaking point; the next 12 months were extremely difficult,” she said about seeking treatment at 18. She admitted that she had been abusing substances daily then.
