Emilia Clarke appeared on Stephen Colbert’s show last night, where she revealed that she also told someone Game of Thrones’ ending ahead of the season airing. But that person signing an NDA, the way Sophie Turner’s fiancé and spoiler recipient Joe Jonas had to, isn’t really necessary. Clarke said she told her mom who doesn’t remember what she said about her character Daenerys’s and others’ fates.

But the good thing about telling my mom these things is that she’s a vault because she’s just done forgotten. I told her. And we were talking about it the other day, and I was like, ‘because you know,’ and she was like, ‘Do I?’ And I was like, ‘yeah, ‘cause I told ya. You kind of read one of the scenes,’ and she was like ‘I can’t remember what happens.’ And I was like, ‘I already told you twice. You missed your chance.’”
Clarke also admitted that it is very, very hard not just blabbing what happens. Colbert asked her if it was frustrating having to keep the ending to herself. “Yeah, deeply,” she said. “I just can’t wait for this to be out.”
She did confirm that the final season scripts were hard for her to take in. “Yeah, oh my goodness, yeah [there were tears after I read the final season],” she told Colbert, before detailing that she literally had to walk around London for two hours to process what she had just read. But on a lighter note, Clarke did talk about how the cast had so many wrap parties and why Kit Harington is lying when he says he had the worst filming situation of any cast member:
