Kate Middleton and Prince William are in Leicester today, where they started the day at the Leicester City Football Club’s King Power Stadium to honor the five victims of a tragic helicopter accident there last month. From there, they went to University of Leicester, where they met members of the public during a walkabout. And Kate was candid about her excitement for Meghan Markle and her new baby when a woman asked her about it.

“Yeah, absolutely, [I’m excited for Meghan and her new baby],” Kate said. “It’s such a special time to have all the kiddies and a cousin for George and Charlotte as well as Louis so it’ll be really special.”
Her response comes after reports circulated these past few days that Kate and Meghan have tension between them and are very different people, amid Meghan and Harry’s announced move from Kensington Palace to Frogmore Cottage. Even then though, a source told Vanity Fair‘s Katie Nicholl that Kate and Meghan do get along. “Kate and Meghan are very different people and they don’t have a lot in common but they have made an effort to get along,” the source said. “Any issues are between the brothers.”
At the Leicester walkabout, Kate also gave an update on her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. “They’re doing well, thank you,” she said. “They’re getting excited for Christmas time because they’ve started all their Christmas songs and Christmas trees are going up. It was really sweet. And Louis’s getting big. I can’t believe he’s like seven months now. He’s getting to be a big boy.”
