Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton Partied for This Special Occasion

Man, there are just some moments when it feels good to party like it’s the early aughts. Last night, Kim Kardashian celebrated Paris Hilton’s 38th birthday—which was actually February 17—with her, but they posted on Instagram as if it were her 21st.

Kardashian also posted on her story, where she said in a video, “Happy birthday, Paris, even though your birthday was months ago this is how she celebrates it…But she deserves it.”

Kardashian and Hilton have been friends since they were young girls, but it hasn’t always been all smiles and Instagram filters. In 2008, Hilton made headlines when she said Kim’s butt “looks like cottage cheese stuffed in a trash bag,” per TMZ . Hilton said she later apologized but in 2011 Karadashian told Harper’s Bazaar that the two had drifted apart.”We don’t really talk. As I always say, everyone comes into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime,” she said then. “And she was in my life for a long time.” She went on: “There comes a point in life where you just grow apart and you realize you’re not as similar as you thought. And I never run into her anywhere. Isn’t that so weird?”

In 2014, they appeared to catch up, and Kardashian posted the reunion on Instagram.

“Reminiscing about the 1st time we went to Ibiza in 2006! @parishilton it was so good to see you & catch up!!,” she wrote . “Loves it lol.”

In a 2015 Glamour interview, Hilton had nothing but sweet things to say about her friend: “She’s always had a great work ethic like me and she’s always been determined. And that’s what it’s all about. I’m so proud of her. When she’s at home, she’s very normal like anyone else with a glamorous life. She’s chill; she’s so sweet.”
