Kim Kardashian is currently embroiled in a lawsuit against clothing brand Missguided, who Kardashian claims used her name and image to advertise their clothing. In the midst of this mess, she shared some information about how much she makes on each Instagram post, and spoiler, it’s a lot.
Per TMZ, Missguided did not respond to Kardashian’s claims, so she’s going for a default judgment for $5 million. Her justification for this huge number is that she makes (are you ready?) $300,000 to $500,00 for a single Instagram post.
In the documents she filed, Kardasian said that she often turns down sponsored posts for clothing brands because she doesn’t want to be associated with them, TMZ wrote.
Kardashian has a net worth of $175 million, so it’s not that she’s exactly hurting here. She seems to be most bothered by the fact that she’s been associated with a brand to which she did not give her permission for Instagram advertisement. In the suit, she added that Missguided also tags her in their photos without her consent.
Kardashian often tags designers in her posts, which leads to tons of page views for their designers.
But Kardashian knows a thing or two about the law, especially now that she is studying to become a lawyer; it’s likely not wise to mess with her. Whoever might want to cross her path in the future should beware. This woman is learning her stuff.
“It’s never one person who gets things done; it’s always a collective of people, and I’ve always known my role, but I just felt like I wanted to be able to fight for people who have paid their dues to society,” she told Vogue. “I just felt like the system could be so different, and I wanted to fight to fix it, and if I knew more, I could do more.”
