The Instagram-account-wiping-to-build-hype-for-a-new-project trend among celebrities just won’t die. Miley Cyrus is the latest to do it today, taking down (or presumably archiving) every old photo she posted of herself, her fiancé Liam Hemsworth, her Converse collaboration, and more. As of 12:57 p.m., the page has no photos, just a black avatar. Unlike Blake Lively, who also pulled this publicity stunt, she did not unfollow her significant other Hemsworth or anyone else.

This stunt is not entirely cross platform. Cyrus just took down her profile photo and banner on Twitter but left her tweets intact.

It’s a clear signal that music or some other new project could be coming. Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik are two other artists who pulled this stunt before dropping new albums and singles respectively. The dramatic move generated mass headlines for them, the same way it’s already generating headlines for Cyrus. When a trick works, it works.

Hemsworth, by the way, still has all his Cyrus ‘grams up, so their relationship is likely fine.
