Hello, police? Zendaya and Oscar Isaac just showed up at my house, annihilated me, and then brought me back to life. No, I don’t need any officers on the scene. I’m just calling to brag. Though the new Denis Villeneuve-directed adaptation of Frank Herbert’s 1965 sci-fi novel Dune isn’t scheduled to be released until December, the space gods knew that the people needed a pick-me-up. And this image of stern zaddy Oscar Isaac will absolutely pick you up… twirl you around the room, toss you on the bed, et cetera.
Not to be outdone, Zendaya is giving you high-drama space desert warrior with a side of, “wait, where did you get that head scarf; I need it yesterday?”
Question: is it legal for a movie to star this many attractive people? I mean, I won’t report them. I will definitely look the other way like I’m as space bootlegger traveling the galaxy, wearing a stunning headscarf and getting into altercations with Han Solo. (Yes, I am aware that I’m mixing intellectual properties; I’ve gone mad from thirst. Beam me up, Dr. Who!).
As if the divine presence of Zendaya and Oscar Isaac isn’t enough to send you into full paroxysms of joy, here comes a clean-shaven Jason Momoa to finish you off.
I know that there is an actual plot to this movie, but I’d be fine with the story was just “a pizza delivery guy shows up; stays longer than anticipated.”
The film stars Timothée Chalamet as yet another perfect being in this space world of supermodels and hair goals icons. Co-starring with him is Rebecca Ferguson, of The Greatest Showman fame. And speaking of “Never Enough,” here’s one last picture of Zendaya. The actress posted it on her Instagram as a special treat and also as a reason to carry on.
