If you’ve ever dreamed of checking off all seven continents from your travel bucket list, a cruise now exists that will allow you to do just that in less than five months for the first time ever. Launching from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on January 6, 2020, Silversea’s World Cruise makes stops in 62 ports in 32 countries and all seven continents over a 140 day period.
After boarding the Silver Whisper—which accommodates 382 guests and 302 crew members—you’ll make your way south into the Caribbean Sea with stops in Puerto Rico and Barbados and then on to South America where you’ll visit cities like Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires. The ship then heads even farther south where you’ll spend February 5, 2020 exploring the Antarctic Peninsula before heading up the western coast of South America to see several port cities in Chile.
Then it’s off to Easter Island and Tahiti. From there you’ll make several more stops in the South Pacific and then hit some of Australia’s best cities including Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
In Asia, you’ll make stops in Bali, Singapore, Phuket, Sri Lanka and Mumbai and then sail through the Middle East to Oman, Jordan and Egypt. By early May, you’ll find yourself cruising the Mediterranean with stops in Rome, Barcelona, Lisbon, and Porto before heading up to the British Isles and Scandinavia and ending the trip by flying home from Amsterdam on May 25, 2020.
Such a lengthy, far-reaching trip doesn’t come cheap, of course. All-inclusive fares start at $62,000 per guest for a 287-square-foot Vista Suite and go all the way up to $240,000 per guest to stay in the 919-square-foot Owner’s Suite, which comes with its own veranda. All rooms include butler service as well as separate sitting areas to spread out in to make yourself as comfortable as possible on your months-long journey around the world.
