Last night, all eyes were on Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt as they had some pretty affectionate moments at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards. One moment in particular, though, got the attention of fans and was likely the “aww” heard around any watch party room. E! caught Pitt backstage watching Aniston accept her award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for Apple TV+’s The Morning Show.
After her win, ExtraTV spoke with Aniston about her win and informed her that her ex-husband, Pitt, had been backstage watching her whole speech.
“Sweet,” Aniston replied softly while shaking her head, clearly touched by the information.
She moved on to talking about what her winning moment meant to her in general: “We’ve all grown up together, we really have, and it just feels like a really fun night to celebrate and cheer each other on and keep working,” she said.
Overall, Aniston just seemed overwhelmed to be in a room filled with people she’s known in her over-25-year career. She alluded to the fact that actors have schedules that don’t always allow for them to go out and socialize all the time.
“…You know, you don’t really have that much of a life, so it’s nice to come out and put a pretty dress on and sort of celebrate your friends and their work, and inspire each other to keep going—and like [Brad] said, it’s back to work tomorrow.”
